The American Corners concept was created to increase mutual understanding between Indonesia and the United States by making available information about America in a variety of formats. The American Corners aim to provide accurate and current information about the political, economic, cultural, educational and social life in the U.S. Each American corner, which are located in the libraries of ten Indonesian University be open to the public, including: students, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, government officials and the general public. Anyone who wishes to learn more about the U.S., Education in the U.S. as well as travel and Business, or contact their colleagues and counterparts in the U.S. can feel free to visit the nearest AmericanCorner. The American Corner collections include:books, CD-ROMs, videos, Internet access, programs, and a professional bilingual staff trained to help you find desired information about the United States. The American Corner welcomes and encourages visits and information requests from anyone who wishes to learn more about America.
