A film by Florian Gaag

In his fulminant, award-winning cinema debut WHOLETRAIN, Florian Gaag tells the story of a crew of four graffiti writers - David, Tino, Elyas and Achim - who have dedicated themselves fully to the scene with its own hierarchies, values, rules and codes.

Florian Gaag born on 1971 in Waldsassen is a German director and screenwriter. He grew up in Bamberg, but his family moved to Munich, when he was 13 years old. In the graffiti scene there, he acquired a reputation for himself and actively painted until the 1990s. After having finished high school, he went to New York and studied film at Tisch School of Arts at New York University between 1995 and 2000. Wholetrain was shot in Munich and Warsaw in 2004 and was first screened in German cinemas on 5 October 2006.
