CEMETI HOUSE PRESENTS + ROAD

ROAD is a collaboration project between New Zero Art Space, Yangon, Myanmar and Cemeti Art House, Yogyakarta.
Five artists from Burma and five artists from Jogja

For two weeks beginning June 1st – 13th June 2010, workshops and discussions will take place between five Yogyakarta artists and five Burma-Myanmar artists.

With this intensive exchange the Myanmar artists will get directly confronted with the life and the art scene in Yogyakarta and the Indonesian artists get to know the art situation and developments in Burma, which they can relate to their own history and current situation.

The artists work around a certain theme and explore each others’ visions. The results of this exchange and the diverse work processes are shown at Cemeti Art House until the end of June.
