International band Solidaz will perform at B.A.T.S. (Bar and Restaurant at the Shangri La) at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta starting from 19 October 2009. Music lovers can catch this versatile act from Monday to Saturday, from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.

Flexibility has become the key of success for Solidaz. The band delivers songs covering a wide range of music, from the latest pop music, rhythm and blues, classic rock and disco to Latino, giving something for everyone to enjoy. The band's perfect blend of the best old and new hits, with a slick look, hot moves and a fun onstage manner, have enabled it to perform at many hip hang-out venues around the world.

Solidaz means "togetherness" in this outfit. As the name implies, the formula has been used for more than 10 years to keep the line-up largely unchanged and successfully solid. Lead vocalist Caroline Giard is the newest member of the band and comes from Canada. The male members of the band are all from the North Island of New Zealand - Nick Black (lead vocal, guitar, bass and keyboard), Lionel Ruakere, also known as LT (lead vocal, percussion and keyboard), Mark Tamati (lead vocal, guitar, bass and keyboard), Chris Toal (vocal, keyboard and guitar) and brothers Campbell Hapi (lead guitar, bass, keyboar and vocal) and Kristen Hapi (drums and vocal).

All members of the band undertake vocal duties in addition to regularly swapping between guitar, keyboards, bass and drums according to their musical requirements. The band has been one of the most successful music acts on the international hotel circuit.

B.A.T.S. can seat 88 in the dining section, 108 in the main bar and 60 in the first-floor bar. The restaurant is open from 7 to 10 p.m. every evening, while the bar operates from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. nightly. The B.A.T.S. "After Work Club" singers entertain guests with their smooth jazz sounds from Monday to Friday during the "Happy Hour" from 5 to 7 p.m., while the Solidaz band will play Monday to Saturday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Equipped with complimentary wireless Internet connection, B.A.T.S. is the ideal venue to socialise, relax and unwind with friends, families and business partners.
